A Quick Tour of the WWGrapevine

In short The WWGrapevine is the easiest and quickest way to share websites with your friends (and perfect strangers), as well as a source for endless interesting web content! Also it is a social network where instead of messages going from person to person, URL's are sent. URL's appear on the receiving end as a grape cluster waiting to be clicked. As time passes, the grapes scroll to the right, eventually dropping off the screen. Clicking a grape loads the URL in the current browser.

After loading the grape, if you like it you should make sure the grape continues climbing the grapevine by clicking Forward. Then, all the people listening to you will, if they like the grape, continue the process by clicking Forward themselves.

If you're just cruisin' the web, and you find a page that's super cool, just take a second to click Forward and you will have Originated a URL. When you originate a URL, you get credit for all the forwards thereafter. This way, you build influence or i-factor which gives you more clout in the WWGrapevine.

When the grapes are on the grapevine, they can have several states. When a grape first appears on your grapevine, it's Unclicked which means that you have not seen it yet. After you click a grape, it becomes Clicked and the grape gets loaded into the current browser window. The plate below the grapes is red when the URL associated with the grape is Active in the current browser window. After you click the Forward button, the grape becomes Forwarded. These different grape states help you track which grapes you have already seen and forwarded.
